A tail-spinner is an artificial spinning lure with a key design feature: a rotating blade mounted at the rear and a front-positioned weighting element. The main advantage of the tail-spinner is its casting distance and variety of retrieval methods. In deep water, step retrieval is used, allowing the lure to sink to the bottom during pauses. In shallow areas, the lightest versions of the lure are used with simple animation techniques involving steady retrieves and short stops.
